Rain, rain, go away

Tonight, we have been receiving what I believe can be called a toad-strangler.  The ditches in town were full, spilling into the roadway, which makes a really good splash when you drive a 4×4 truck through it.  This does not bode well for Ramblin’s turkey hunt this weekend.

I believe I owe the blog readership some photos of the roving haul I got from The Loopy Ewe for my birthday, courtesy of Ramblin and Brando.

Clockwise from top left: Enchanted Knoll Farms BFL in Rainbow Stew, Creatively Dyed Ocean in Black Rock, Gale’s Art Alpaca Silk (particularly yummy!) in Deep Blue Sea, and Tempted SoySilk/Wool in Faded Love.  Do you need to see them closer?  Of course you do.

So, add this to all the roving I bought last week, and Needles needs to get on the ball and get the Parrots roving done, so that she can play with all the new goodies (plus all the other stuff from the past two years).

I did finish some socks today.

They fit great, I think they are beautiful, but man, I have got to take a break from such fiddlely socks!

By working on a fiddlely sweater.
